At Deeesign Lab we design and build websites on Next.js and a headless CMS, the same modern stack used by product teams at much larger companies. Every site we ship is fast by default, structured for search engines from the first line of code, and simple for your team to update without calling a developer.
We work with businesses in the UK, Australia and Sri Lanka. Our clients get the standard of work they would expect from a top agency in London or Sydney, at a fraction of the cost, because our studio is based in Sri Lanka.
Built on Next.js
Next.js renders pages on the server, splits code automatically and optimises images out of the box. In practice that means pages that appear almost instantly, pass Google's Core Web Vitals, and can be read in full by search engines without waiting for JavaScript. Speed is not something we bolt on before launch; it is how the site is built.
A headless CMS your team can actually use
Every site is connected to a headless CMS. Your team edits pages, blog posts, case studies and images in a clean admin panel, while the public site stays fast because content and presentation are separate. You get the editing simplicity of a traditional CMS without the plugin bloat, security patching and slow page loads that usually come with it.
Designed to convert, not just to look good
Before any visual design starts, we map who visits your site, what they need to know, and the one action you want them to take. Layouts, calls to action and page order follow from that. The result is a site that answers buyers' questions in the order they ask them and makes the next step obvious.
SEO built into the structure
Clean URLs, one clear heading per page, descriptive titles and meta descriptions, internal links between related pages, schema markup for your business, services and articles, and an XML sitemap that updates itself when you publish. These are the foundations that let your content rank.
Responsive on every screen
Most of your visitors will arrive on a phone. We design mobile layouts deliberately rather than shrinking the desktop version, and test on real devices across screen sizes before launch.
Integrations and functionality
Contact and enquiry forms, booking systems, newsletter sign-ups, payment gateways, CRM connections and custom tools. Each feature is built to support the user journey and your business goals, not added because it is possible.
Working with us from the UK or Australia
Sri Lanka is 4.5 to 5.5 hours ahead of the UK and 4.5 to 5.5 hours behind Sydney, so there is a comfortable overlap with your working day either way. We work over email, video calls and WhatsApp, share progress as we go, and keep you informed at every stage.
Frequently asked questions
How long does it take to build a website?
Most business websites take four to eight weeks from kick-off to launch, depending on the number of pages and features. A focused five-page site is usually around four weeks; a larger site with a blog and custom features is closer to eight.
How much does a website cost?
It depends on scope: the number of pages, custom features, content and integrations. After a short discovery call we send a clear written quote, so you know the full cost before any work starts. Our packages page shows what each tier includes.
Can I update the website myself after launch?
Yes. Every site comes with a headless CMS, and we show your team how to edit pages, publish blog posts and swap images. You don't need to call a developer for everyday changes.
Do you work with businesses outside Sri Lanka?
Yes. We build websites for clients in the UK and Australia as well as Sri Lanka, working over email, video calls and WhatsApp with good time-zone overlap in both directions.
Will my new website be good for SEO?
Technical SEO is built in: fast pages, clean structure, schema markup, sitemaps and Search Console set up at launch. Ranking also depends on content and links over time, which our SEO service can help with.
