Project Synopsis
Journey of Colours is a Colombo-based wedding photography and cinematography studio that documents love stories with elegance, emotion, and intention. They approached us to craft a digital home as refined as their work — a website that lets their imagery lead while communicating their calm, story-driven approach to couples planning one of the most important days of their lives.
Design Challenge
Photography sites live or die by their imagery, so the core challenge was building a layout that puts the work front and centre without visual clutter. We needed an editorial, gallery-first experience that loads beautifully on every device, balances generous white space with full-bleed photographs, and gently guides prospective couples from admiring the portfolio to making an enquiry.
Creative Approach
We designed a minimal, elegant interface anchored by a serif-driven type system and a restrained monochrome palette, letting the photographs supply all the colour. A responsive gallery showcases real weddings, while a clear three-page structure — home, services, and contact — keeps navigation effortless. Considered typography, soft motion, and a prominent enquiry path reinforce the brand's premium, emotion-centric positioning.
Prototype Impact
The finished site gives Journey of Colours a polished, conversion-ready presence that mirrors the quality of their photography and cinematography. Couples can browse a curated gallery, understand exactly what's included, and reach out in a single tap — turning casual visitors into genuine booking enquiries while establishing the studio as a premium choice in Sri Lanka's wedding market.
